DIY Easy Halloween Wreath

Check out this cute easy wreath I made today for Halloween!
It was super easy and for under $15 I got everything at Joann's Fabric Store.

I added a little glitter detail because I saw it in the cupboard and thought 'Why not?'

Right now at Joann's they have coupons out for 40% off. The foam wreath here is  $8.99 40% off, the 1 yrd stripe print was $5.99 yrd, 30% off and the Tull/netting was $1.99 yrd 40% off, the ribbon was $3.99 and 40% off. PLUS you won't need the whole yard to cover the wreath, I wasn't sure what I was going to do so I wanted extra. Now I'll probably make some candle wraps or something else with the leftovers.

First I cut 5 strips of fabric the length by about 4in.
I wrapped those stripes messily around the wreath, then hot glued them down.

For the Knot details I just cut up some fabric and netting and bunched and glued.

Then cut the ribbon and hang!

It took me all of 5 mins to make.

New baby outfit!

Introducing the Skull Beanie and Pant set!

Size NB to 3mo.
$16.00

I'll be the first person to admit that I got this idea from my sister. This is way more her style than mine, but these are selling like crazy for her, and she hasn't had the time or energy to keep making them. Soo.. I'm NOT stealing them from her, she knows and is fine with it, I'm just joining in on the fun!

These are perfect for all those rocker moms out there that have a hard time finding cute outfits like this for less. Have you ever tried to find cute stuff like this for baby boys?! It's ridiculous how much a onesie is that had some decal on it.

*Also available in Black, I'll have pictures up soon.

Cowboy

What an adorable little cowboy!

This is my little buck-a-roo Corbin. He loves to wear his cowboy boots almost on a daily basis. This year he had the opportunity to be in the Nephi Ute Stampede Parade. Well he already had the outfit minus the chaps. The cost to buy chaps... well OK I only looked at one place but they were $55! Wowza.. so instead of borrowing a pair I decided to make some. Fortunately for me I happen to have some of this leather just hanging out in my garage. Aw the joys of my husbands occupation and my Father in law's generosity.

After a trip to Cal Ranch and JoAnn's for the metal detail and snaps I was set. I measured Corbin and got everything sewn and cut out then my husband helped me with the metal accessories.
They turned out great! And they weren't really that hard to make. I'm thinking of making a few and trying to sell them on Etsy. What do you guys think are they cute?! I have a ton of ideas on some different designs and even adding some bandanna detail...

This is Corbin and I at the Parade. I added this picture so you guys can see how cute the horse is that he rode on! This is Mater my in-laws horse, isn't he beautiful? He just turned 2 this spring so he's still pretty small.

Bathroom Decor Tutorial

This is my guest bathroom. I had to decorate it in like 2 days with all the extra home decor I had after moving in 2 years ago. I like it, it's cute... but I didn't LOVE it.

At our old house we had sage green, black and white as the colors in the bathroom. But I felt like it needed a fresh new face. (That wouldn't cost me too much.)

I usually pick one item to be my inspiration for the room. It helps me decide the theme and get ideas flowing. I chose this cute Black and Cream picture frame I snagged from Rod Works last year on sale.

Instead of throwing away my Dollar Tree Art work, I decided to give it a face lift. I used Modge Podge to add the striped scrapbook paper, then I painted over the cream saying, and used a stencil to add my own art work.

*Tips- Modge Podge, if you haven't used it, your missing out! I use it for lots of projects and you can buy it at JoAnn's Fabric with a 50% off coupon for like $3! (Or you can buy it at any craft store really.) Don't be shy with it, it looks really thick but it dries clear.

*Tips-Stencil, I purchased the pictured stencil at Hobby Lobby for $2.99 and they have LOTS to choose from. This is a great way to create your own art in any room. Don't skimp on the stencil brush! Sure they offer a $2 one but go ahead and buy the bigger, more durable brush for $4 it will be worth it in the long run.

I exchanged the framed flower art work for this metal decor. I bought this at a discount home decor store a few years ago and it was cream. I added a coat of black spray paint and sanded a few spots to let the cream show through the black. Really easy!

I also used my stencil to update this frame to match the room better. I used cream scrapbook paper and black paint for the stencil.

Here are some more tips/idea's on bathroom decor-

*Don't be afraid to hang more than 1 thing on a wall. Even if you have a small bathroom like me, it still deserves to look nice!

*Just because it's a picture frame, doesn't mean you can only put pictures in it. Try mixing it up with different patterns of paper, art work, or random photos in black and white or what ever matches your theme.

*Use your space! I use my window seal and counter top for things.

*If you see something you like but can't afford it, try to re-create it. Most people won't even know it's home made.

Now I have an updated bathroom and it took me about an hour to complete. (Granted I had everything at home already.) I hope this gave some of you inspiration, or helped get idea's flowing.

Easter

Isn't this skirt absolutely adorable? My friend needed a last minute Easter Skirt and Tie and I am pleased to say not only did they turn out great, but I even got them done and to her Saturday night so she could use them Sunday for pictures.

The skirt is a lot poofy-er with Tulle and a scrunched up waist band look. I definitely enjoyed making this skirt and I want to offer this style to everyone. Check back for more to come.

I also made this last minute Easter Tie for a newborn baby boy. Love the pattern it turned out really cute.

This pretty much sums up our Easter. Cold, but fun. This is my husband helping our son at an Easter Egg hunt in the puring rain. I hope everyone had a wonderful safe Easter.

I made this cake for my family for Easter and it turned out really cute! I go the recipe from The Girl Who Ate Everything. Shout out to her I love her blog!

First Give-a-way winner!

Congrats to Lisa! She has won my first give-a-way!
